My Morning with Nars

 

I was ever so lucky to be invited to my local Space NK in Newcastle so I could get a feel of the products and have a chat with the lovely Nars girls.

Firstly my skin was prepped and primed for the makeup. I told my makeup artist, Julia that I wanted radiant skin that matched my tan – so the foundation would be a tiny bit darker. I’m quite lucky that my skin can adapt to many colours and shades. I went for a warmer toned foundation that is more yellow. It suits my skin perfectly and masks the paleness that I usually have! Obviously we went for Sheer Glow in the colour Deaville. What else? But before any foundation even touched my skin, Julia used a Multiple in Luxar to highlight my nose, cheekbones and a few other places. This gave a lovely glowing base for the foundation.

After the foundation I had my highlight and contour done and next it was onto eyes! A different girl called Anna completed one of my eyes and suggested we used the Dual Intensity Eyeshadows in Callisto all over the lid (which is the lovely pearly white colour you can see) and then Desdemona in the crease and outer lid. These two colours worked amazingly together and they are some of the most beautiful eyeshadows I’ve ever seen! So pigmented and shimmery without being tacky or over the top. I’ve fallen in love and will definitely be picking a few of these up soon.

 

 

We didn’t want to over-do my eyes as they are rather small but liner was definitely needed after the shadow so we went for two brown liners. Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via de Martelli and an Eye Paint in Mesopotamia. This give my eyes definition and structure without the harshness that black would have caused.

After the eyes were completed it was time for the finishing touches. Blush, more bronzer, lipstick and gloss. Unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to take any photos of the lips as the products rubbed off by the time I had got home (I did pop in for a naughty McDonalds so that’s probably why…) Overall I am so very thankful I had this opportunity and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The girls at Space NK and Nars were all lovely and had amazing customer service – and also asked about my blog! I ended up purchasing another Sheer Glow and I will definitely be going back to pick up a lot of products in the near future.
