Kylie Jenner Inspired Lip Haul

I’ve been lusting over Kylie Jenners lips recently (well come on, who hasn’t?!) and I really wanted to transform my flat, lifeless lips into a more full pout. I heard that the lipliner she uses is Mac’s Whirl – which was completely out of stock when I went to purchase it. So I took to swatching and found that Spice was a similar colour and really suit me – so I opted for that instead! I am absolutely useless at explaining colours so I’ve included a swatch for you!

I’m a poor student at the moment, so splashing out on lip products isn’t something I usually do and I thought that £13 for a lip liner pencil was extortionate but I soon fell in love with the colour and just had to have it. I’m so glad I bought it. The colour lasts forever and suits me unlike any other I’ve tried. My Mac lipstick in Cherish would go perfectly on top of this, I just can’t seem to find it anywhere! Sometimes I wear this on it’s own, other times I wear it with a gloss. Overall I’m really impressed with this lip liner and I’ll definitely be purchasing it again when I run out. I’m on the hunt for Mac’s lipstick in Velvet Teddy next. Another Kylie Jenner staple which is also sold out everywhere!

 

The next item I purchased was Mac’s lipstick in Mehr. It’s a rich pink-y purple colour (see, I told you I’m awful at explaining colours…) which is a matte lipstick. I’ve given up on any other type of lipstick (satin, glossy, sheer etc) as just none of them stay on my lips! I have a real problem with it. I like this colour, but I don’t think I like it on me… I’m seriously thinking about selling this lipstick or what not as I don’t think I will really wear it much at all. I much prefer the soft nude/brown, a glossy soft pink lipgloss or a deep fall colour. I’m not a massive fan of pink, red or orange lips on myself as I prefer the attention to be on my eyes!

To go with this lipstick I got a Sleek lip liner in Lingerie which retails for £4.99 and is a very, very similar colour to the lipstick mentioned above, however on it’s own is a bit sticky. Which I dislike. Yet again, this is a colour I’m not too fond of and I don’t think I will be wearing much in the future. A shame as they are both beautiful colours, however just simply don’t suit me as much as I want them to.

 

The last thing I bought was a Tanya Burr lipgloss! I wasn’t dying to try these out as honestly, I didn’t expect too much from them but WOW they are gorgeous. They smell heavenly and give the perfect glossy finish. I got the colour Chic which I use over the top of my Mac lip liner when I want  a more subtle finish of the liner. I will definitely be going back and probably end up with the whole collection soon enough as I love every colour. They’re affordable lipglosses at £6.99 (but if  you’re reading this post near the 09/09/2014 – They’re on sale for £4.99). I don’t really have much else to say on it other than well done Tanya! I love the glosses.

 

 

That’s all I’ve bought recently! I’m on a massive spending ban in regards to makeup as I’m trying to use up what I already have and save for other things.
