Ok so it’s not THAT extreme but it’s been a while (three years, don’t judge me) since I had my hair done and I couldn’t avoid it any longer. After a bad trip to a hairdressers about five years ago which made me scared of hairdressers, I had been growing my hair. I had finally got it to the length I liked but as you can see it was so boring and lifeless. After humming and harring for a while about going a different colour I decided I would bite the bullet and do it. I opted for subtle colour to begin with just in case I didn’t like the outcome, but I definitely want more added now! It makes me look way warmer and less pale. It’s great experimenting with makeup and being able to wear colours that before I couldn’t pull off as well as I can now.
I had my hair done at Karen’s Hair Studio in South Shields by Carla who is a wonderful colourist and done an amazing job. She listened to exactly what I wanted and worked with me every step of the way. I can’t thank her enough for her amazing work and if you’re in the area, I highly suggest this salon!
Are you planning on changing your hair up soon? If you are let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear your ideas.
Lots of love,

Oh and one last thing, I made a Facebook page Katie Meehan so to keep up to date there as well as other tips, photos and more.

Omg your hair is so thick and healthy looking! Did you use any specific product to grow your hair? Do you use any to keep it thick and healthy?
Great blog x

Thank you so much! I wouldn’t say there was one ‘miracle’ product but coconut oil left in overnight and washed out in the morning definitely revitalised my hair and kept it healthy. Pairing it with a light but effective post-wash routine. I suggest the coconut oil once a week max. I bought mine from Holland and Barrett.
Hope I helped!
