It’s pretty mandatory that before every holiday you get your nails done, right? Well before New York I was desperate, and I wasn’t really sure where to go. I’d seen loads of tutorials online, different brands like Gelnagel producten, Mac, Dior but I couldn’t decide! Luckily, I’d seen Levoi on Instagram and their work looked great, so I thought I’d check them out.
The lovely owner, Ann invited me along to get my nails done before I jetted off to the wonderful New York for a week of sightseeing and makeup. I hadn’t been to Levoi before but I’d walked past many times, as I worked just around the corner. Just off Haymarket Metro, it’s in a prime Newcastle location and a great place to go before a night out!
Pretty much every single time I get my nails done, they will be the same colour. Either a pastel pink, or a… well, pastel pink. I don’t really stray that often because it suits me. Maybe next time I’ll branch out (but probably not). As I was about to choose my colour, Ann asked what I’d like. I wanted pastel pink with a gold glitter feature nail. Much to my surprise, they actually mix the colour for you!!! How amazing is that? I was able to get the perfect shade and lighten it until it was just perfect. This colour is SO me and I don’t want to take it off, and well… I haven’t. Yep, that’s right, almost a month later and my gel nail polish is still on. No chips, nothing. Just healthy, strong nail growth. I really can’t believe it!
They are truly the best gel nails I’ve ever had. The salon is beautiful, with lots of treatments to choose from and a glass of champagne on arrival. Their own brand polishes are to die for, with huge selection of gorgeous colours.
