One of the biggest challenges we face in life is how to make the most of our money. The cost of living is so expensive and we are faced every day with new products to buy. That’s why it’s important to save money wherever we can, so today I’d like to share with you my little money-saving hacks. Every little penny helps towards saving, and one thing that I do quite often is if I refrain from buying myself something small (lunch out, coffee, random things I don’t need), I’ll pop the money into my savings and see after a month how much I’ve saved by refraining on the little things. The key is to not restrain yourself so much that you feel miserable, life is for living after all.
The first way to save money, is to check your broadband provider. Broadband is a high-speed connection to the internet, which allows you to browse the web and access a whole host of content. A lot of people tend not to shop around and compare different broadband companies, therefore not saving any money. A trustful online broadband comparison site allows you to find the best phone and broadband deals. It lets you search for the best deals with over ten providers, and filter by price, contract length and package. It’s a great way to save money and find the best option for you and your family.
Online comparison website, Cable, lets you search for the best deals with over ten providers, and filter by price, contract length and package. It’s a great way to save money and find the best deal. At the moment, there are lots of deals available such as fibre broadband and calls for new customers with NOW broadband for £25 a month. The website lets you see what the average speed of the broadband is, as well as how many monthly downloads is in the contract. There’s even the opportunity for cashback on certain deals too!
It’s also important to use reusable products, not only to save money but also for the environment. There are many single-use items that we could easily do without, such as cutlery, straws, single-use cotton pads, coffee cups. Reusing these items will save you money in the long run, as you won’t need to be constantly repurchasing them.
Not only is it expensive to buy your lunch each day from a coffee shop, using leftovers and taking own lunch is also a cost-effective way to save money and also help the planet. Instead of throwing away last nights meal, try and repurpose it into your lunch for the next day. Make large batches of food that is freezable and made with cheaper ingredients, such as soups, pasta sauces and curries. It can save you a lot of money! Ditch the ready meals and cook from scratch. It is often the same price per meal, if not cheaper to buy the ingredients and make your own.
Visiting value stores and shopping around is another great way to save money, I find that larger shops such as Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s are much more expensive for items than in shops such as Home Bargains. I highly suggest visiting discount stores for your household cleaning items. Be savvy though, sometimes with food it can be cheaper but you’re receiving less product. Being smart with how you shop, and being prepared to visit different shops for different things will save you a lot of money in the long run.
