AD – This blog post contains a gifted item from Dune London.

If you have been anywhere lately; scrolling through Instagram, browsing Pinterest, or just grabbing brunch at your favourite spot, you will have seen that Matcha green is everywhere. I’m kind of completely obsessed, actually. Somewhere between the soft richness of pistachio and a fresh pop of lime, this earthy hue has taken over as one of the colours of Spring/Summer 2025. Honestly, I am not mad about it.
Designers this season are clearly leaning into a softer, more grounded palette with fresh pastels and nature-inspired tones. Think airy linens, oversized tailoring, fluid silhouettes, and delicate crochet textures — all in calming shades like matcha green, butter yellow, and soft white. It is very “modern romanticism meets quiet luxury” — and matcha green fits perfectly into the mood. Now, I know that the colour of matcha green may be divisive. With some people arguing that it is a bold bright green, but I’m specifically talking milky matcha latte green here.
Naturally, no seasonal refresh would be complete without the perfect accessory to tie everything together and this colour has been slowly creeping into my wardrobe this season. Enter: the Dune London “Direction” Asymmetric Chain Detail Shoulder Bag in the most dreamy Green shade.

Here’s why I cannot stop wearing it:
- The Shape: The asymmetric silhouette feels sleek, architectural, and refreshingly different — exactly the kind of energy I’m channelling for SS25 and not something I already have in my wardrobe already.
- The Chain Detail: Gold chains are having a huge comeback this season, adding that polished, elevated edge to any outfit. I love that this one feels chunky but still super chic. All of my accessories are gold, so it naturally works with everything I already own.
- The Versatility: Whether I’m throwing it on with a white sundress, an oversized linen blazer, or relaxed denim, it just works. It pulls everything together without trying too hard and surprisingly fits a lot in!
How I’m styling my Matcha Moment:
I’m pairing my matcha green staples with fresh neutrals like crisp white, oat, and soft beige for that clean-girl look. But when I want to have a little more fun (which, let’s be honest, is often), I’m mixing it with sorbet shades — pastel blue, muted pinks, or even a pop of butter yellow. Pastels just work well on me, so I make the most of it!

Final Thoughts:
If you invest in just one standout piece this season, make it something you can actually use daily without feeling tired. The Dune Direction bag nails that sweet spot between statement and staple. It feels fun, fresh, and totally wearable—basically, my Spring/Summer 2025 vibe in a nutshell.
Matcha latte* in one hand, my Dune bag in the other… this is the year of grounded luxury and playful details, and I am all in.
*(Well, being honest, I don’t really like the taste of Matcha, I’m more of an iced oat latte gal, but you’ve got this far so you can know my little secret 🤫)
