As autumn settles in and the holiday spirit begins to creep in, beauty advent calendars are dropping left, right, and centre – and honestly, I’m already overwhelmed by the incredible options available this year. Marks and Spencer – £60

We have to start this year off with the magnificent M&S Advent Calendar, this year designed by the one and only Bella Freud. It’s In-Store October 9th, and only £60 when you spend £35 across fashion, home and beauty. Features 25 beauty products, 8 of which are full-sized. I’ve seen a sneak peek of what’s inside and it’s a really great option for beauty lovers who don’t want to spend upwards of £100.
RRP: £60
Worth Over: £330
Space NK – £260.00

The Space NK Advent Calendar is one of which I could only dream about owning. At £260, it’s out of budget for me this year (I’ve got a trip to NYC coming up) but if I was going to be purchasing one, this would be a top contender. Featuring 26 full-size beauty essentials from absolute powerhouse brands like Tatcha, Summer Fridays, Refy, Phlur, Rare Beauty and countless others, this collection represents their most impressive Beauty Advent Calendar yet – and honestly, I’m expecting it to fly off the shelves faster than ever before. It contains all of the viral brands, products you’ll ACTUALLY use and it looks beautiful. I can only imagine that opening this each day would be better than Christmas itself.
RRP: £260
Worth Over: £1,150
Look Fantastic – £105.00

Could this be the contender for the best value? Possibly. At *just* £105, it’s significantly cheaper than the Space NK advent calendar. It boasts a huge array of high-end brands like Mac, ColorWow, Medik8, Sol de Janeiro, Elemis and more. Whilst it does appear it contains some filler items, overall there are plenty of full-sized products in there that make up for it, for the price. 13 products alone are worth over £20, with a whopping £67‘s worth of Mac lip goodies (including Spice Lip Liner). Truly, that’s great value. If you already love Spice lip liner and are going to purchase a new one soon, you’re basically getting everything else for like, £80. Girl math or just bad math, I don’t know. But that’s how I’d justify it anyway.
RRP: £105
Worth Over: £655
CULT BEAUTY – £240.00

Oh Cult Beauty, you have truly outdone yourselves this year. Not one, but TWO advent calendars featuring a Classic Curation and Limited-Edition Curation. Naturally, I want them both. There’s not much to say about these apart from the fact that they are perfect and, quite frankly, anyone would be lucky to have one. I think that so far, this one might be my pick? I don’t know. I can’t decide. Maybe next year I’ll save up and buy them all. Or this post will do so well the brands decide to send me one. Let’s see…

Boots 24 Day Premium Beauty Advent Calendar – £150.00
Next we have the high street giant, Boots. I’m not really sure how I feel about this one… It’s more expensive than the Look Fantastic calendar, but has around the same worth. So, if you’re looking for value for money, I don’t think this is it. That being said, if you’re going by soely the product offering, I think this is great. Plenty of full-sized products, incredible brands and seemingly all the stuff you’d actually use. Philip Kingsley, Milk Makeup, Fenty, Aveda, Sol de Jeniero & so much more. Not to mention, you can collect Boots points on it – so great if you’ve got a coupon or student discount to stack on top. For the price, I think this is a great offering – and even though it’s more expensive than the Look Fantastic one, I think I’d actually choose this one anyway because there’s not a single product I’d say no to!

RRP: £150
Worth Over: £612.50
Boots 24 Days Of Skincare Advent Calendar – £70

Oh yes, you read that correctly. SEVENTY POUNDS. I admit guys, I think I might get this one. In fact, I’m pretty sure that I’m going to… It has a whopping TWENTY full-sized products in it, full of brands I already use and some things on my wish-list. If I bought this, I’d basically be breaking even at the 3 products from this line-up that I already use (Anua – Rice 70 Glow Milky Toner, Anua – PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule 100 Serum & BYOMA – Melting Balm Cleanser). The bits in here I won’t use? I usually make my Mum a little skincare hamper and there’s some things in here that she would love, so I’m basically one Christmas present sorted, too. I’m talking myself into it, aren’t I? Oops…

Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 – £250

I must admit, I’m a little underwhelmed by this one. I don’t know if it’s becasue the product description on the website is entirely lacking of any creativity or what – but it just kind of falls a little flat to me? It’s giving ‘here you go, if you want’. Ok yeah, it has some great bits in it but they’re not really doing anything exciting. It’s yellow, not very festive, has some great brands in it like Gisou, Elemis, Refy & Murad. I believe it contains a beauty gift voucher too, not that I’d know, because it just says ‘beauty concierge voucher’ in the description. I know I’m being picky, but when we have THIS many to choose from, at least hire a copywriter???

Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 – £275.00

Packed with 30 products inside, including 20 full-size treats, this year’s beautifully curated edit brings together cult buys, niche names and fresh launches from their world-renowned beauty hall. Coming in at the most expensive, the Liberty Advent Calendar better bring its A game. Not only is the box a work of absolute art, but it is also definitely the most luxe offering of the year. It’s what I expected of Selfridges, which pandered a little more towards the viral brands rather than legendary luxe, like Liberty. You can expect full-sized La Mer, Emma Lewisham, Zelens, Votary and Augustinus Bader, amongst many more. If you’re going to spend around the £250 mark for an advent calendar, I think you’d be silly not to stretch your budget (if you can) to get this one. It’s classic, sophisticated and the ultimate indulgence. It has skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance and more. I want it. Maybe next year I’ll remember to sign up for the Liberty Beauty Drop, where you pay £25 a month and receive 4 curated edits throughout the year of products and £20 credit a month to spend on anything at Liberty. By my calculations, that means the advent calendar will only be £35 next year if it stays the same price. Yeah, I’m doing it.
RRP: £275
Worth Over: £1,245
Holland & Barrett Beauty Advent Calendar
One of the most affordable and eco-conscious offerings of the year is the Holland & Barrett. It has 25 products, 18 of which are full-sized from brands such as SuperFacialist, Weleda, Dr Organic and more. It’s a good option for a mid-range list of brands and for people that are more into wellness.

RRP: £50
Worth Over: £232
Anthropologie 24 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar – £98

I have to say, Anthropolgie didn’t immediately spring to mind when I thought of beauty advent calendars, however this year’s limited-edition offering is absolutely stunning! The artwork by Nepthys Foster alone makes it super special. This year’s calendar is packed with over £365 worth of premium beauty treats, featuring some absolutely gorgeous brands like Grown Alchemist, L’Occitane, Wonderskin, Malin + Goetz, Beauty Works and so many more favourites! Whilst a lot of them are mini sizes, it’s great if you travel a lot. I like to keep my travel sizes and samples for when I’m going away, so I have some new things to try out and don’t have to buy travel minis on their own, as they can get pretty pricey.
RRP: £98
Worth Over: £365
ASOS Face + Body Advent Calendar 2025 – £98.00

The ASOS advent offering this year is SUPER fun, it has lots of brands popular on TikTok and great for the younger beauty lover in your life. It features products from Charlotte Tilbury, Biodance, Sol de Janeiro, Mac, Beauty Works, Elemis, Caudalie, Nuxe and so many more. There’s a Kiko gloss in there that I love, and so many products that I already use and love, so this would actually be a great option for me if I was going to repurchase any of them. It has the Clomana Marshmallow Sponge, the Lainege glowy lip balm and the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, which I use all of the time. If I were to buy these on their own, I’d be looking at almost £70, so it really is a great option. Especially if you can stack a student discount on there.

Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar – Various Prices

This year, Harrods are offering THREE beauty advent calendars. One beauty, one fragrance and one hair & body. With plenty of incredible brands to choose from, there’s something for everyone. As far as luxury goes, they are great. The main beauty advent calendar has a mix of full-sized and travel-sized products, with brands we love such as Medik8, Laura Mercier, 111Skin and Hourglass.
Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 – £250
Harrods 12 Days of Hair & Body Advent Calendar 2025 – £99
Harrods Fragrance Advent Calendar 2025 – £215.00
Harvey Nichols Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 – £250.00

Last but certainly not least, we have the Harvey Nichols Advent Calendar. This one is a little more luxurious but is GREAT value. You’ll get over £1000 worth of products in here AND one in every 50 advent calendars contain a Harvey Nichols Gift Card, worth £50. I like that this one has a mix of timeless high-end brands such as Sisely, Augustinus Bader, Eve Lom, and La Mer, alongside trendier and newer brands. Colorwow, Davines, Trinny London, Le Labo all feature and there’s something for everyone. I love the amount of fragrance in this as I do love trying out new scents, especially when they’re high-end.
