Simple Steps to the Cozy Takeaway Night In*

We all have those weekends where we’d much rather sit in our pyjamas than go out. I do love going out with my friends and taking the time to get dressed up, but sometimes a simple night in can be just as good. Armed with a Netflix account and some Night-In staples, I know just how to make my cozy night in a perfect one.

Step One: Snacks

No night in is complete without a bunch of food to snack on while you’re lazing about in your loungewear (aka pyjamas) binge watching Netflix. Pizza, popcorn, chocolate, ice cream & crisps are my fave. Yeah I know, totally not good for me but hey, let me live.

Ordering in a takeaway can get pretty expensive and can take forever to be delivered, which is why I like to buy my own pizza from the supermarket to save time and money. Chicago Town recently got in touch and asked me to try their new Chicago Town The Takeaway Pizza, and it intrigued me because the dough is not pre-cooked, so you’re able to get that take-away taste at home. It’s so much easier to have a takeaway tasting pizza cooking in the comfort of your own home, being able to pop it in the oven and eat it whenever you’re hungry.

Now, I’ll be honest, I’m a huge pizza fanatic and I love that ultimate takeaway taste and it’s pretty hard to impress me with frozen pizzas, but Chicago Town is a brand I’ve known since I was a little kid and this range honestly does not disappoint. The pizza tasted better than most of the leading pizza chains out there, and for a fraction of the price. I loved the pizzas and the taste was incredible, I’ll have to make sure these are a staple in the weekly shop now. These large pizzas were actually on offer for £2.50 in Asda, that wouldn’t even get you a slice at most places.

I’m so so impressed with this range, my favourite is the Barbecue Feast (I love BBQ sauce so much!) and the other option is the Pulled Buffalo Chicken. I love that the pizza really cooked evenly pretty quickly. It was packed with toppings and plenty of cheese, even for me. Check out @chicagotown and their new range over on their Facebook page,

Step Two: Bath & Skincare

To make my bath that bit extra special, I’ll usually use a Lush bubble bar, my favourite being The Comforter. I love the bubbles they create and if I’m feeling extra fancy, I’ll use one of their bath melts, which always leave my skin feeling so soft and luxe.

Face masks are a great way of having a good pamper and my favourite one at the moment is the GlamGlow SuperMud mask. My skin has been breaking out quite a bit with hormonal spots, and this is the only thing that’s calmed them and took them away almost instantly. It can be a bit drying though, so I’ve been using ThirstyMud afterwards along with a good moisturiser to put some life back into my skin. It seems to be clearing up. but along with my skincare routine, I know it will clear up in no time.

The skincare I’m using at the moment is mostly all from Deciem. Some of my favourites include The Ordinary’s lactic acid 5% + ha 2%, which exfoliates my skin extremely well, niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% for reducing the appearance of my blemishes. I’ll be writing more about The Ordinary soon (and Deciem) as I delve into a world of skincare I didn’t even know existed.

I’ll also use the Pixi Glow Tonic which I love to tone my face. Can we just take a moment to appreicate all of Pixi’s new makeup and skincare?! They’re killing it at the moment! (Post to come soon) To moisturise, I’m currently using The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow-Boosting Moisturiser, it leaves me with such a beautiful glow and I truly love this moisturiser.

Step Three: Pyjamas

Comfortable, cute pyjamas are the key to a good cozy night in. New pyjamas always make me happy and I thought I’d show you a few I have my eyes on right now.

Step Four: Netflix

Once my skincare is done and had a long bath, then I can truly relax. There’s nothing better than feeling fresh and clean with my favourite pyjamas and a new episode of my favourite show ready to watch. At the moment I’m loving 13 Reasons Why, Riverdale, Pretty Little Liars, How To Get Away With Murder and Game of Thrones.

This is typically how I spent my weekends or nights where I just want to relax. I really enjoyed writing this blog post so if you’d like to see more posts like this in the future, please do let me know.

*Thank you so much to Chicago Town for sponsoring this post, as usual, all opinions are my own!

That Chicago Town pizza looks amazing, I just had a Dominos pizza tonight and was super disappointed. I think I’ll be going with a Chicago Town pizza next time (and from now on), better pizza and like you said – a fraction of the price.

Isn’t it just! I do love a night out but sometimes you can’t beat a bit of junk food and Netflix! xxx

I’ve always just got Chicago Town pizza from the supermarket instead on Dominoes or Papa Johns, blindfolded you wouldn’t be able to tate the difference and are a fraction of the price!

Sounds like a perfect night in for me Katie – I love Chicago Town takeaway pizzas. My favourite is stuffed crust Pepperoni. Yum! We often buy them for a Saturday night instead of an actual takeaway x
