There are many questions floating about this world. What truly does make the perfect pizza? I’m not pizza connoisseur but whatever it is, Manny’s have it down to a T. Walking in with high expectations and an open mind. I was so excited to give this pizza a good go. Many people were wary of it’s price tag, £3.50-£4.00 per slice, it is rather expensive however the quality makes it all worth it. Not to mention the size. The slices were MASSIVE, as you can see in comparison to my iPhone 6;
I was lucky enough to be able to make my own pizza and see it being made, which really added to the experience. A great thing about Manny’s is that the kitchen is open, so you can really see what goes into your pizza. I opted for chicken, onions, peppers and mozzarella. I thought at first when my slice was brought out that I was to be sharing it with my friend. No. That is ONE slice. That could easily feed two, even three people. It was SO good too. It was perfectly cooked and tasted so good. It was like a burst of flavour, lovely. Below you can see the stages of the pizza being made. Look at how MASSIVE it is. I was in complete disbelief. I think the chef can skip arm day at the gym after a shift making these… Imagine the pain!
The decor inside is lovely. Modern and fresh however there aren’t many places to sit. Downstairs however is a different story. A candle-lit room full of sofas and vintage decor. It’s truly stunning and one of the best parts of it is, you can hire it out and have a pizza party with your friends. They also have an alcohol licence. Pizza and wine? Yes please. As it’s such a short walk from Newcastle’s famous nightlife it’s perfect for a lovely for a romantic date night or a pre-drinks binge on pizza. If that’s not your thing, a good long chat over a slice of pizza is a great alternative.
I love this place. I think it’s a perfect addition to Newcastle and so far has been welcomed with open arms. The pizza is amazing, the staff are so friendly and the interior is beautiful. What more could you want?
Just writing this post is making me hungry… I’m already planning my visit back. The pizzas are priced at £3.50-£4.00 a slice (which trust me, is so worth it as they are massive) and the store is located at 25 Ridley Place, Newcastle Upon Tyne (just off Haymarket Metro) and you can visit their website HERE. Be sure to follow them on Twitter!
Are you excited to give it a go? Let me know in the comments.
